Mid-Michigan's award winning professional theatre company, Williamston Theatre, located at 122 S. Putnam Street in downtown Williamston, closes out Season Eleven with Murder for Two book and music by Joe Kinosian, book and lyrics by Kellen Blair. Performances for this killer musical comedy begin Thursday, July 13 and run through Sunday, August 20. Tickets are now on sale.

Murder for Two begins with five Preview performances starting Thursday, July 13. During the first four Previews audience members will have the opportunity to take part in the process of creating a show by participating in a talkback session with the director following each performance. The Official Opening Night is Friday, July 21 at eight o'clock with the show scheduled to run through Sunday, August 20. Performances will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at eight o'clock and Sunday matinees at two o'clock with additional three o'clock matinees on Saturdays starting July 22. The Conversation Sunday for Murder for Two is Sunday, August 6.

Murder for Two is the perfect blend of music, murder and mayhem! In this hilarious 90-minute show, 2 performers play 13 roles - not to mention the piano - in a witty and winking homage to old-fashioned murder mysteries. The New York Times calls it "Ingenious! A snazzy double-act that spins out a comic mystery animated by funny, deftly turned songs."

The cast of Murder for Two consists of Mark Schenfisch (Sirens) and Andrea Wollenberg. The Director is Rob Roznowski (Miracle on South Division Street, The Big Bang). The production team includes Scenic Design by Bartley H. Bauer (The Nerd, Chapatti), Lighting Design by Alex Gay (Summer Retreat, The Big Bang), Costume Design by Holly Iler (1984, The Nerd), Sound Design by John Lepard (Talley's Folly) and Props Design by Michelle Raymond (1984, A Painted Window). The Stage Manager is Nan Luchini (Summer Retreat, Chapatti).

Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can for the Preview on Thursday, July 13. Remaining Preview tickets are still $15.00! Starting Opening Night, Adult tickets prices are $30.00 for Friday and Saturday evenings, $27.00 for Saturday and Sunday matinees and $25.00 for Thursday evenings. Senior citizens (65 and older) and members of the Military receive a $2 discount on all tickets. Student tickets (with a valid student ID) are $10 for all performances. Discounts are also available for groups of 10 or more (booked at least 1 week in advance through the Box Office). Tickets can be purchased Tuesday - Friday from 12-6pm by calling (517) 655-SHOW (7469) or by visiting the Box Office and ordered on-line up until 1 1/2 hours prior to the performance by visiting our website www.williamstontheatre.org. Payment is required at the time the reservation is made.
