After an amazingly hilarious (and well-attended!) opening two weekends, Who Wants Cake? is thrilled to announce an additional performance of their summer scream, The Book of Liz. And for a limited time, Who Wants Cake? is reviving the 6Pack, a discount theatre-goer's card which is good for all 6 upcoming new Who Wants Cake? productions in the 2009-2010 season.

The added performance of The Book of Liz will take place at 3PM on Sunday, August 2nd at The Ringwald Theatre. Tickets for this performance will be $15. This additional performance will join the previously scheduled Fri/Sat/Mon 8PM performances currently playing at The Ringwald Theatre. The final performance will be on Monday, August 3rd. Tickets for The Book of Liz are $20 for the 8PM Friday and Saturday performances and Monday 8PM shows are half off regular priced tickets at only $10.00 a ticket. Reservations may be made by phone at 248-545-5545 or online at www.WhoWantsCakeTheatre.com. The box office opens 45 minutes before performances.

Comedy writers, siblings, and outrageously hilarious, David Sedaris and Amy Sedaris team their considerable talents for The Book of Liz, a wild, wacky (but ultimately sweet) parable about the adventures of Sister Elizabeth Donderstock, who is Squeamish and has been her whole life. She makes cheese balls (traditional and smoky) that sustain the existence of her entire religious community, Cluster Haven. However, she feels unappreciated among her Squeamish brethren and decides to try her luck in the noisy and bustling outside world.

The 6Pack discount pass is a great way for fans and friends of Who Wants Cake? to save on the thrilling upcoming 2009-2010 season. The pass can be purchased at the box office throughout the run of The Book of Liz. The pass is only $110 which is like buying 6 tickets for the price of 5! The pass will start with the opening show of the 2009-2010 season, the hit musical Rent, and continue on with the remaining new shows: Evil Dead: The Muscial, A Little Work (A World Premiere!), The Busy World is Hushed, Hurlyburly, and Die! Mommie! Die! Please visit the website, www.WhoWantsCakeTheatre.com, for more information or simply inquire at the box office.

Who Wants Cake? opened the doors to their resident home, The Ringwald, in May 2007 with Fatal Attraction: A Greek Tragedy. Quickly, The Ringwald became a mainstay of Detroit's theatre community. Since opening their doors, Who Wants Cake? has been offering up slice after slice of successful shows including Southern Baptist Sissies, Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical, Bug, The Facts of Life: The Lost Episode, Killer Joe, and The Bad Seed. Who Wants Cake? was named the 2008 Best Theatre Group in Channel 4's Vote 4 The Best contest.
