Todd Wenzel's Urban Hay Day to Kick Off Fall Season This October

Todd Wenzel's Urban Hay Day kicks off the fall season Saturday, October 15th from 11am to 4pm. The event is located at Gemmen's Home and Hardware (3488 Kelly Street) and Farmers Co-op (3302 Prospect Street) in Hudsonville. Urban Hay Day is designed to bring the orchard experience and favorite fall activities to the city for all ages.

Downtown hayrides will travel to and from both locations encouraging families to participate in all of the activities and entertainment.

New components include Rock Your Voice, a youth singing competition which you can register at www.Urbanhayday.com, Great Garden Games, minute to win it vegetable games, an apple bobbing competition, vegetable bingo and new local food vendors.

At Gemmen's, the event will feature pumpkin carving, pumpkin races beginning at 11:30am, the critter barn, cider and donuts, a bounce house, the pumpkin drop occurring at the top of every hour, kids activities from over 35 businesses and pony rides.

The Farmer's Co-Op will feature a tractor show from 11am-3pm, the kids tractor pull starting at 1pm, the annual rubber chicken launch, inflatables, lawn games, kids play area, the mechanical bull, the remote control car races at 2pm, vegetable bingo at 1:30pm and 2:30pm and delicious meals and snacks from their food vendors throughout the day.
