10:53 AM 2013

The Purple Rose Theatre Company is thrilled to revive the uproarious comedy, The Vast Difference by Jeff Daniels, for the first production of their 2013 / 2014 Season.

In this 20th anniversary production, George Noonan is having a mid-life crisis. The father of five girls and a flight attendant for a small Midwestern airline, he is scheduled to have a vasectomy. As he works up the courage to go through with the procedure, George becomes reflective on his struggles with his career, living up to his father's expectations, and the nature of "being a man" in the modern world. The Vast Difference contains mild adult language and themes.

The Vast Difference will enjoy a thirteen-week engagement at The Purple Rose Theatre Company from Friday, September 20 - Saturday, December 14, 2013. Seven low-priced previews will be performed Friday, September 20 - Thursday, September 26, with Press Opening on Friday, September 27, 2013. Regular performances for the duration of the run are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8:00 PM with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 3:00 PM and Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM.
