"Nothing can cure the soul but the senses, just as nothing can cure the senses but the soul." Join Slipstream as we explore Oscar Wilde's masterpiece through a new lens. Set during the golden years of Hollywood, a young man unwittingly trades his soul for immortality, and discovers the actual price of fame. This surreal look into the lines that separate and blur the notions of morality versus mortality is done with four actors. One actor remains Dorian Gray, while the rest of the company morphs into the people, ideas, and ghosts of Dorian's life as his grip on sanity loosens. Just how long can a person remain an ideal before it starts to consume him whole, and how many people are destroyed in the process? What is the true cost of eternal youth?

The cast features Steve Xander Carson in the title role, Bailey Boudreau as Basil Hallward, Ryan Ernst as Harry Wotten and Kaitlyn Valor Bourque as The Woman. The production is adapted and directed by Luna Alexander, with technical design and execution by Ryan Ernst. Tiaja Sabrie assistant directs, with Meghan Lynch as lighting designer, and Bailey Boudreau as costume designer.

Slipstream's production debuts a new adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray, combining the lingual elegance of Oscar Wilde, the simplicity of playwright Charles Mee and the honesty of Antoine St Auxbery's classic children's tale The Little Prince, into a love letter to Hollywood's early years. Sponsored in part by Boston Tea Room in Ferndale, we invite you to enter a familiar world envisioned through the collaborative eyes of three distinct writers and one dedicated company. The production runs Fridays through Sundays, May 20th through June 12th. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 pm, Sundays at 7 pm.

Tickets are $12 in advance only and available via www.slipstreamti.com or by emailing
