Ski the Slopes, Go Tubing, Dine and More at Boyne Highlands This Winter

Harbor Springs, Mich. - Michigan's largest ski resort, Boyne Highlands, is offering new experiences for the 2016/17 winter season including nighttime cross country skiing and snowshoe dinners, as well as an expanded Tubing Park, Rossignol snowboard demos, and a new program director for the resort's children ski instruction and coaching program.


On The Trails and Slopes

Enjoy solitude on the trails with the glow of oil lanterns and moonlight to illuminate your path along a mile-long cross country ski trail lit each Fridayand Saturday evening. Trail passes are $10 after 4pm, and free for ages eight and under. The Tyler's Tango glade, which has been expanded to triple its original size, has also added an additional access point located skiers right of Amy's chairlift. Ten Boyne Low-E fan guns are being relocated to key tower positions maximizing snowmaking efficiencies.

Snowshoe Dinners

Guests can delight in three new enchanted snowshoe expeditions this winter, each culminating with a gourmet three-course dinner. The events are scheduled for Jan. 6, 2017; Feb. 3, 2017; and March 3, 2017. The snowshoe hikes depart at 5:30pm with each event offering a unique snowshoe route, and dining location including North Peak at the top of the slopes, Olympic Room with a bird's eye view of the slopes, and the Country Club of Boyne in the heart of the resort's best trails. Expanded Tubing

Boyne Highlands' Tubing Park is being expanding with additional lanes this winter and also being moved closer to the Camelot lift. Reconfiguring the park will allow this popular attraction to open earlier in the season. The Tubing Park is open to adults and children ages five and above, with one-hour, two-hour and all day tickets available.

New Rossignol Demos

Daily snowboard demos are available for the first time this winter through Boyne Country Sports at Boyne Highlands. Demos allow those interested in a new equipment purchase the opportunity to try before you buy. Men can test out Rossignol's ONE MAGTEK and RETOK AMPTEK, and for the ladies, the DIVA MAGTEK. Boyne Highlands also offers a full line of skis to demo including those from Rossignol, Volkl, Dynastar, and Blizzard. Demos are $55 per day, with the full cost credited towards the purchase of a new snowboard or skis. For more information, call 231.526.3006.

New Program Director for Boyne Flyers and Team Elite

Boyne Highlands is pleased to welcome Greg Benjamin as the new Program Director for Boyne Flyers and Team Elite children's ski racing programs. Benjamin replaces Kyle Griffin who built a strong foundation of programming during his six-year tenure. A well-respected member of the skiing community in northern Michigan, Benjamin is a Level 100 Certified Coach through the United States Ski & Snowboard Association and is passionate about youth development through the sport of skiing. He most recently served as Curriculum Director of the Northern Michigan Ski Academy at Boyne Highlands.
