Planet Ant to Close Season with ALONE WITH FRIENDS

Closing out its 2015-16 season, Planet Ant will present a new romantic comedy from award-winning Detroit playwright Margaret Edwartowski. Alone With Friends opens Friday, June 3 for a four-week run through June 25. Tickets ($10-$20) are on sale now atwww.planetant.com. A complete performance schedule follows this release.

Alone With Friends explores the relationship between a writer and her muses. In this case Hannah - a romance novelist and shut-in - relies on her lead characters to keep her company and aid in the writing of her books. But a new love interest in Hannah's life shakes up her predictable and safe daily routine. Directed by Kelly Komlen-Amadei, Alone With Friends features Stephen Blackwell, Julia Garlotte, Patrick Loos and Inga Wilson. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm with 2:00pm Sunday matinees June 12 and 19. Improv Mondays

The Planet Ant Improv Colony has generated over twenty original comedies and continues to perform every Monday night in Michigan's longest-running improv comedy show - Improv Mondays. At 8:00 pm the show kicks off with a guest improv troupe followed by a performance by Planet Ant's resident Home Team. The night closes with The Ant Jam, an opportunity for anyone to improvise on the Planet Ant stage. Tickets are $5 at the door.
