The improv troupe We Have Your Son will present their original one-act comedy The Birth of Chad October 10 - 25 at Planet Ant. The troupe won the opportunity to create a late night original show as winners of the 2014 Planet Ant Colony Fest. At 32, Chad Thompson is a man with big dreams. He's also a man who still lives in his parent's basement. His step dad wants him out, his girlfriend wants a brighter future, and his mother just wants everyone to be happy. Enter Aiden Kane the charismatic leader of a new network marketing program that might be the answer to all of Chad's problems. The Birth of Chad is written and performed by Michael Babbish (Bloomfield Hills), Arthur Brannon III (Naperville, IL), Aaron Mundry (Detroit) and Steve Oliver (Owosso) and is directed by Michael Hovitch (Ferndale). Performance times are at 9:00 pm Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets ($10) are on sale now at www.planetant.com.

Just in time for Halloween, Planet Ant will present the original comedy The Dogman Prophecies Friday and Saturday nights at 9:00 pm October 31 through November 8. Written and performed by Planet Ant's The Ant Process class, this horror genre spoof is inspired by the northern Michigan legend of the Dogman. Billy Becker hunts the Dogman because he blames the mythical half man/half dog for the disappearance of his childhood pet. On his journey, however, an unusual turn of events leads him to wonder whether or not his obsession with revenge has clouded his judgment. The Ant Process class includes Jon-Mathew Canniff (Ferndale), Jaclynn Cherry (Rochester Hills), Moni Jones (Northville), Clint Lohman (Westland) and Jason Petterson (Madison Heights) under the direction of Shawn Handlon (Harper Woods). Tickets ($10) are on sale now at www.planetant.com.
