Everyday Wines Hosts Pre-Show Tasting at PN Theatre's COUNTY LINE Tonight

Everyday Wines is hosting a pre-show wine tasting at Performance Network Theatre for the world premiere of "County Line" by David Wells tonight, February 6. The wine tasting will take place at 120 E. Huron, Ann Arbor tonight, February 6 at 6:30 p.m. (with an 7:30 p.m. performance of "County Line"). The cost of the wine tasting is only $5 extra with the cost of a ticket purchase.

Reservations can be made online at performancenetwork.org or over the phone at 734-663-0681. Audiences are instructed to select the sales promotion "Wine Tasting" when reserving tickets and they will be automatically signed up for the tasting and the performance. Patrons who have already purchased their tickets to "County Line" are welcomed to exchange or add on the wine tasting to an existing order.

Everyday Wines' mission is simple: to make wine an easy and affordable everyday pleasure. They taste wines from all over the world in order to stock their shelves with handpicked selections that provide great QPR-quality-price ratio-while offering wine drinkers the chance to try wines they might not find elsewhere. The staff is happy to help customers choose the perfect wine-or wines-for any occasion, from weddings to block parties to tonight's dinner. Everyday Wines hosts weekly in-store tastings and offers classes for those who want to explore wine a bit more.

The wine tastings will take place one hour before the scheduled performance and will feature samplings from Everyday Wines' "splurge rack" (bottles that are over $25).

"County Line" is the world premiere of Ann Arbor playwright, David Wells', Edgerton Award Winning Play. The script was also selected for the National New Play Network Showcase in San Diego, but received its first appearance at Performance Network's Fireside New Play Festival in 2012. "County Line" is the the whimsical and profound story of 17-year-old Lois' journey after the arrest of her father. Lois is sentenced to the strict confines of a foster home run by Tanya - a woman who is not your typical guardian and owns the County Line Truck Stop & Travel Center. In this coming-of-age story, Lois encounters both her first look at the subtle terrors one human can inflict upon another and a lifeline to humanity that will ultimately save her.

"County Line" by David Wells runs at Performance Network from January 16 - February 16, 2014. Regular tickets are $22 - $41 with discounts for students, seniors, children under the age of 16, and military and can be purchased online at performancenetwork.org or by calling the box office at 734-663-0681.

Founded in 1981, Performance Network Theatre has grown from a fledgling company to Ann Arbor's resident professional theatre. The Network reaches 40,000 theatre patrons and children each year through the year-round Professional Series and the Children's Theatre Network. Performance Network also presents the Fireside New Play Festival and a series of classes on theatre-related topics. The Network provides uncompromising artistic leadership in the region and produces works that engage, challenge, and inspire audiences and artists.
