The World Premiere production of BUZZ, a biting comedy about a lecherous CEO and his wily stock clerk will be at the Detroit Repertory Theatre on Thursday November 6, 2014 at 8:30 PM. The play is written by native Michiganian Richard Strand, and as is the tradition for Opening Nights at the Rep, a complimentary Champagne Afterglow will follow the play with the cast and crew of the production.

The Detroit Repertory Theatre is proud to announce Quicken Loans is Production Sponsor of BUZZ. Tickets are only $17 advance for Opening Night, the same affordable price as all regular performances. The show will run Thursdays through Sundays until December 28, 2014. Purchase tickets by calling the Box Office at (313) 868-1347, or visit www.detroitreptheatre.com for more information. The Detroit Rep has been located in the geographical heart of the city for over 57 years and has lighted, guarded, free parking.

"If you want to know what's going down in any company in America just ask the stock clerk." Ryan Hutchings, CEO of Hutchings Enterprises, Inc. has gotten himself into some legal trouble over a woman. No problem, he'll just inveigle his stock clerk to bail him out. So he buzzes his stock clerk, Buzz. Who else? The fun begins. Mr. Hutchings' cover has some hidden holes and Buzz is dumb like a fox. The combination clearly demonstrates how to succeed in business with a little bit of spying.

Director Harry Wetzel (DEARBORN) takes us on a wickedly humorous corporate journey of manipulation and conspiracy. His cast for BUZZ includes two actors familiar to Rep audiences, Wayne David Parker (DEARBORN) most recently seen on the Rep stage in ENDANGERED SPECIES, and Dan Johnson (ANN ARBOR), last seen as "Wohali" in BROTHER OF ALL at the Detroit Rep. Theatregoers of Michigan may also recognize local actors Rita Montpetit Liegl (BEVERLY HILLS) and Kennikki Jones (DETROIT) making their Detroit Repertory debuts.

BUZZ opens the Detroit Repertory Theatre's 58th Season on November 6th and runs every Thursday through Sunday until December 28, 2014.

Tickets, fundraisers, Bargain Booklets and Subscriptions remain the most affordable for not for profit professional theatre in the region. Advance admission is $17, same day tickets are $20. The Rep's Gold Double Subscription for TWO is still the unmatched price of $100 and a Silver Single Subscription stays $50. 10 ticket Bargain Booklets, regular and matinee are $110 and $100 respectively and still make great mini fundraisers. The Theatre is now offering free Champagne to large group fundraisers for early bird bookings.

For tickets and information call or visit the Rep Box Office, (313) 868-1347. Tickets can be purchased by phone using Visa or MasterCard. There is no surcharge. For detailed information, visit the Rep website www.detroitreptheatre.com.
