DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE Rings at The Studio Theatre Tonight
"The play is about life connections, being truthful with yourself, and with the people who love you. And, the fact is, you're loved whether you're a good person or not," said Director Jen Goff, a PhD candidate in Theatre at Wayne State University.
Dead Man's Cell Phone reflects the bizarre life of a hopeless romantic who believes herself to be madly in love rather than acknowledging her infatuations. While dining at a café, Jean is annoyed by a stranger's ringing cell phone. When she approaches the stranger seated across from her and answers his phone, she realizes that he is actually dead. Although horrified, Jean falls passionately, deeply in love with him and dedicates her life to keeping memory of him alive by answering his cell phone.
Dead Man's Cell Phone will run Thursday, October 17th through Saturday, October 19th, 2013 and Thursday, October 24th through Saturday, October 26th, 2013 at 8:00p.m. Tickets are $10 - $12 and are available online at www.wsushows.com, the Studio Theatre Box office at (313) 577-2972, or by visiting the box office at the Hilberry Theatre located at 4743 Cass Avenue on the corner of Hancock.
