Roll up, roll up! The theatre program at Oakland University is hosting a very special guest. At 8 p.m. on Friday, September 16, theatre artist David Gaines will present his show, "A Little Business at the Big Top," a fast-paced solo performance featuring a spectacular circus comedy, full of danger and romance - like Popeye meets Chaplin in a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

The audience will meet the aerialists, the animals, the clowns and the brutal ringmaster. They will see a death-defying knife fight on the tightrope high above the circus floor, and it will all be brought to life by one amazing performer in just one hour.

The Milwaukee Magazine called the show "A tour de force of storytelling and physical theatre. Mr. Gaines is an extraordinary theatre artist. It's dazzling."

At the end of the show the audience is invited to stay for a talk-back with Mr Gaines.

Information about Mr Gaines, including preview videos of his shows, are available on his website, davidgainesperformance.com.
