Detroit theatre fans have even more to look forward to in the new season! The international musical sensation Jekyll & Hyde, starring Tony Award® Nominee Constantine Maroulis in the dual title role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde and Grammy® Nominee and R&B superstar Deborah Cox as Lucy, will play the Fisher Theatre, November 27 - December 2, 2012. Jekyll & Hyde is now the fourth “extra show” outside of the 2012-2013 Broadway in Detroit Season Subscription. The other three productions are Mary Poppins at the Fisher Theatre, October 23– 28, 2012; Jersey Boys at the Fisher Theatre, December 12, 2012 – January 6, 2013; and, The Lion King at the Detroit Opera House, February 13 – March 10, 2013.

Broadway In Detroit’s 2012-2013 Subscription Season has been very popular with Detroit theatregoers, spurring stronger sales than in the past ten years. Six stellar shows make-up the 2012-2013 Broadway in Detroit Season Subscription: The Book of Mormon, March 12-24, 2013 at the Fisher Theatre; Billy Elliot the Musical, September 4–16, 2012 at the Fisher Theatre; La Cage Aux Folles, September 25 - October 7, 2012 at the Fisher Theatre; Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical, December 18-30, 2012 at the Detroit Opera House; Memphis, April 9-21, 2013 at the Fisher Theatre; and, Catch Me If You Can, May 7-19, 2013 at the Fisher Theatre. Please note that all show dates may be subject to change.

“As of today, our Subscription Season sales are already up 15% over last year,” said Broadway In Detroit Executive Director Alan Lichtenstein. “This early success is being driven by an outstanding line-up of award-winning shows, theatre fans who want guaranteed tickets for The Book of Mormon, and an improving local economy. We are also excited about our tremendous line-up of ‘extra shows’ off the Subscription, including Jekyll & Hyde starring Constantine Maroulis and Deborah Cox.”
