The Edge Theater presents "A Steady Rain" today, August 29 to September 28 at 1560 Teller Street in Lakewood. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Sundays at 6 p.m; Tickets are $24 and available online at www.theedgetheater.com or by calling 303-232-0363. Group rates are available.

The cast includes Executive/Artistic Director Rick Yaconis and Resident Director Scott Bellot.

"A Steady Rain" is a story of how two policemen must deal with the circumstances arising from a deadly error in judgment. Chicago police officers Joey and Denny are longtime partners and best friends. Joey is single and lonely, and Denny is married with children. The lifelong friendship of the two men is threatened when it becomes clear someone must bear responsibility for their egregious failure to assess the situation accurately. "A Steady Rain" was staged by Chicago Dramatists in 2007 and opened on Broadway in September 2009.

Keith Huff has written and produced such TV series as Mad Men, House of Cards and Helix.
