Award-winning square product theatre and Goddess Here Productions present the Regional Premiere of Johnna Adams' "Gidion's Knot," Finalist for the 2013 Steinberg New Play Award and the 2012 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.

"Gidion's Knot" takes place in a 5th grade classroom during a parent/teacher conference. A grieving mother and an overwhelmed teacher have a fraught conversation about the suicide of the mother's son, the teacher's student, Gidion. Was he a bully? Was he a victim? Was he a protector? Or, was his young and vivid imagination simply too powerful a tool for the adults around him? As his story is uncovered, the women try to construct an explanation for his behavior and come to terms with who, or what, is truly to blame. "Gidion's Knot" is a heart-wrenching, devastatingly beautiful work about the power of words and freedom of expression.

The show will be put on at the Carsen Theater at The Dairy Center for the Arts. Previews will be at 8 PM tonight, January 2, and Friday, January 3, 2014. Performances will be at 8 p.m. on January 4; January 9-11; January 16-18; 2 p.m., and January 11.

Tickets can be purchased in advance online or by phone at 303-444-7328, or at the door. Tickets are $20 general admission, $14 students (with ID), $16 for seniors, $12 for Previews and Thursdays (January 2, 3, 9, 16)
