Shadow Theatre Company consistently seeks to provide a vehicle of artistic expression for Colorado's indigenous actors, artists, and writers that will be non-exclusive to any and all cultural communities and take responsibility for educating children through an "edutainment" format designed to empower youth by promoting positive peer influence with a primary focus on African-American and Latino youth.

Shadow Youth Ensemble Presents
Year of the Women

Host ShaShauna StatonCRUNK (Creative Resources Uniting Neighborhood Kids) and the Black Actor's Guild come together as the Shadow Youth Ensemble to present the final production in Shadow Theatre Company's 13th Season celebrating women, mothers and daughters. Featuring original sketches, dancing and poetry devoted to a single year observing the woman in today's society.

Please join Shadow Theatre Company Sunday, August 22, 2010 for a celebration of Black Music. John Ashton is emceeing an "Open Mic Night" and everyone in the theatrical community is invited to come share your own personal renditions of great songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond. From Motown and Philly soul classics, like "Dancin' in the Street", to iconic Broadway favorites from "Porgy and Bess", and "Showboat" we'll be rockin' the house honoring great standards of Black music and theatre.

Single tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
