About the show: An historical fiction play that reveals a little known chapter in America's history - inspired by actual events. At the height of WWII, Berthoud, Colorado's industrious sugar beet farmers were expecting a record harvest, but labor was in short supply as most of the town's young men were fighting overseas. With over 3000 German POWs being held at Camp 202 in Greeley, it made sense to put them to work in the fields. Beets is a poignant story of one family's bias yielding to circumstance, hatred bowing to compassion and love crossing boundaries.

Warren Sherrill is directing this production, with Scenic Design by Brandon Case, Costume Design by Caroline Smith and original orchestration by El Armstrong.
