Northglenn Arts & Humanities Foundation has announced its Fall 2013 auditions, performances and classes. Details below!

Youth Auditions

Auditions for Northglenn Youth Theatre's "Shrek the Musical" will be held for youth ages 8-18. Actors must prepare a one-minute comedic monologue, 16 bars from an up-beat contemporary musical, bring a current resume, and 8x10 color headshot to the audition. No acapella; accompanist provided. Directed by Kimberly Jongejan. Produced by special arrangement with Music Theatre International. Auditions by appointment only September 10, 11, and 12. Presented by SpaceTime for Kids Get ready to explore the Final Frontier! Come learn about rockets, planets, aliens, rovers, astronauts, space stations, meteors and much more. This interactive show will give young star-gazers a good taste of what space exploration is all about. Recommended for early to middle elementary school aged audiences.

Up in the Air
with Peter Davison
This award-winning "poet of motion" brings together all the visually exciting elements of juggling, dance, physical theatre, music and humor together for a show unlike anything you've seen before. Peter has been seen across the country performing, teaching and entertaining audiences of all ages, most recently in his own show titled "Junk" at the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder. He has won the National Juggling Championship and is currently the Artistic director of the Boulder Ballet. Recommended for pre-K and older.

From Page to Stage
Students will put their heads together as they take themes and characters from their favorite fairytales, stories and books and twist them into a new magical story. This class combines teamwork and literacy with beginning acting and then culminates with a short presentation of the new piece for family and friends. Intro to Acting (Beginning Level)
This is a great class for the want-to-be actor! We will introduce the world of acting through warm-up exercises, drama games, short skits and basic costumes.
