Equinox Theatre Company opens their 2012 season with the regional premiere of Terence McNally's darkly comic AND THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT playing now through March 17. Meet Ruby and her children, Sigfried and Lakme. They have barricaded themselves and their entire family away in a cellar, fearful of the sinister world outside. Together, they lure “special visitors” to their home, only to be seduced, taunted, and ultimately destroyed. And you thought your family was weird...

Director Brian J. Brooks will immerse the audience in this dark world, utilizing strong multimedia effects to help tell the story of this twisted family. Cat Accardi will be joining Brooks to create these powerful media and sound effects.

The talented cast includes Sarah MacMillan as Ruby, Patrick Brownson as Fa, Gary Webster as Grandfa, Rebecca Morphis as Lakme, Brandon Palmer as Sigfried, and Zak Wziontka as Clarence.

Terrence McNally is a prolific American playwright that has won four Tony awards, an Emmy, The Lucille Lortel Award and numerous others. Written in 1964, AND THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT is his first major play to be published and produced. His early draft of this play received the Stanley Award for best play at the New York City Writers Convention and went on to be McNally's first Broadway credit.
