Cherry Creek Theatre presents its first full length play, Agatha Christie's THE UNEXPECTED GUEST playing through October 30 in Denver.  On a foggy night, Michael Starkwedder enters the home of the Warwicks through a window in the study. He finds the dead body of Richard Warwick and finds Warwick's wife, Laura, holding a gun. Despite the murder being obvious, and overwhelming evidence pointing towards it, Starkwedder does not believe she killed him. Is she guilty or is she protecting someone? Appearances are sure to deceive in this twisty mystery.

Robert Kramer directs Christian Mast (Michael Starkwedder), Kelly Reeves (Laura Warwick), Deborah Persoff (Mrs. Warwick), Jack Wefso (Jan Warwick), Chris Kendall (Henry Angell),  Andrew Uhlenhopp*(Julian Farrar),  Boni McIntyre (Mrs. Bennett), David Blumenstock (Inspector Thomas) and Brian Murray (Sergeant Cadwallader).  The role of the dead Richard Warwick will be performed by various guests. A donation of $1000 will afford men, interested in an on-stage debut, the opportunity to support Cherry Creek Theatre and be part of the show. Dame Agatha Christie, the most famous creator of murder mysteries, was born in 1890 and worked as a hospital dispenser during the First World War. Her first detective novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles (1920), introduced Hercule Poirot, the Belgian hero who was to appear in many subsequent novels and plays. Over the next 56 years, Christie wrote 66 novels and more than a dozen plays, including Murder on the Orient Express, The Mousetrap, Black Coffee, And Then There Were None, and the Miss Marple mysteries - which served as the basis for the films Murder, She Said and was the inspiration for many television programs.

Cherry Creek Theatre presents WAIT UNTIL DARK playing now through October 30 at the Shaver-Ramsey Showroom, 2414 East 3rd Ave., on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 303-800-6578 or online at www.cherrycreektheatre.org.
