Rush seats! Ignite Theatre will carry on the original groundbreaking tradition of rush seats that started with the show on Broadway. A minimum of 10 seats will be available for each performance. The first 10 seats are front row and additional seats, if available, are rear-balcony. Patrons must be in line a half hour before performance start time. Rush seats are $10.
The cast includes Ethan Knowles (Mark), J. Tanner Kaler (Roger), Jenna Moll Reyes (Mimi), Lindesy Falduto (Maureen), Erica Trisler(Joanne), Brandon Lopez (Collins), Carlos Jimenez (Angel) and Randy Chalmers (Benny).
Ensemble members are Wayne Easter, Audrey Felderman (U/S Mimi), Anna High, Kristin Honiotes, Valerie Igoe, Nick Martinez, Megan Montalbano, Rob Rehberg and Thairone Vigil.
"Rent" was first seen in a limited three-week workshop production at New York Theatre Workshop in 1994. The show's creator, Jonathan Larson, died suddenly in January 1996, the night before the off-Broadway premiere. "Rent" won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Musical, Best Book and Best Score. In 2005 it was adapted into a motion picture featuring most of the original cast members.
