Candlelight Dinner Playhouse Presents PETER PAN Through 8/24

The Candlelight Dinner Playhouse presents PETER PAN the high-flying Broadway musical with music by Jule Styne, Betty Comden and Adolf Green.

The timeless masterpiece about 'the boy who refused to grow up' will transport you, like never before, into J.M. Barrie's beloved tale of lost boys, pirate rogues and a mischievous fairy named Tinkerbell. Highlighted with dazzling flying and special effects, your heart will take flight with such musical favorites as "I'm Flying," "I Won't Grow Up," "Never-Never Land" and so many more. Wonderful adventures await you with one of the most treasured family classics of all time!

"Peter Pan is a truly magical experience", said director Donald Berlin. " The humor and radiant score make it a perfect date night outing, while the adventure and wonder make it the ideal family event", he added. The original 1954 Broadway production, starring Mary Martin as Peter and Cyril Ritchard as Captain Hook, earned Tony Awards for both stars. It was followed by NBC telecasts of it in 1955, 1956, and 1960 with the same stars, plus several rebroadcasts of the 1960 telecast. Peter Pan has enjoyed several major revivals that has kept it near and dear to the hearts of millions of theater-goers. Sandy Duncan reprised the role of Peter in 1977 and Cathy Rigby took on the starring role in a revival in 1998.
