For the second year in a row, Creede Repertory Theatre's innovative educational program The KID Show has been recognized as one of 50 finalists for the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Awards.

Out of 335 applications from across the country, The KID Show was selected along with 49 others, which distinguishes it as one of the top arts- and humanities-based programs in the country.

The winning programs will be announced in June, and winners will be awarded a $10,000 grant along with an invitation to attend the White House awards ceremony hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama.

We are honored and humbled to be recognized again in this way for our achievements in the field of theatre education.

CRT recently partnered with the Creede Early Learning Center to bring ACTION STORYTIME to local kids. Last class, CRT combined movement, voice, imagination and literacy to activate the book "Ming Lo Moves the Mountain" by Arnold Lobel. Each child received a copy to take home thanks to the Krueger Foundation! CRT will be back to host another ACTION STORYTIME on April 21 at 9am.
