Lovable plus-size teen Tracy Turnblad has only one desire - to dance. And dance she does through her downtrodden neighborhood, through the harsh put-downs of her schoolmates, and through the racial barriers dividing 1960s Baltimore. When she gets the chance to be a dancer on the "Corny Collins TV Show," Tracy ignites a rock 'n roll revolution among her friends, defuses racial tensions, and finds love against all odds. Big heart...big hair...and a great big hit! Winner of 2003 Ton Awards including Best Musical!

Directed and choreographed by Kelly VanOosbree (BBT's Avenue Q) who won a CTG Henry award for her inventive dances, Hairspray stars Caitlin Zigler as Tracy, Kris Graves as Edna, Baret Harper as Link, Sara Metz as Amber, Lindsay Fuller as Penny, Carlos Jimenez as Seaweed, Shandra Duncan as Motormouth. Charlie Schmidt (BBT's Cannibal) as Wilbur, and Cory Wendling (BBT's The Jungle Book) as Corny. Ensemble members include Chris Boeckx (BBT's 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Renee Sobering, Pierre Andre, Jarelle Bjork (BBT's The Music Man), Asad Clinton (BBT's Chicago), Faith Simmons, Jasmine Jones, Rachelle King, Jill Lentz, Jenny Mather, Jeffrey Parizotto, Katherine Paynter, Eric Pung, Josh Rigo, Justin Spann, Kortni Stillwagon, and Will Treat (BBT's Chicago).
