The Brandywiners Set to Launch 2010 Season with GUYS AND DOLLS

The Brandywiners, Ltd. will KICK-OFF its 2010 production of GUYS AND DOLLS on Wednesday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. The kick-off meeting will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2313 Concord Pike, Wilmington, Delaware. Members and those who would like to participate in the summer show are welcome. We are seeking talented singers, dancers, set builders and a production crew.

This will be the Brandywiners first production of Frank Loesser¹s musical in their 79 years of stage productions in Longwood Gardens Open Air Theatre. This kick-off meeting is the opportunity to learn about the production and ways to participate. You will meet the Artistic Staff and Committee Chairmen. This is a show for actors, dancers and a chorus of those 16 or older.

Auditions for GUYS AND DOLLS actors and singers will be held on April 9-12 at the Downs Center, Ingleside Homes, 1005 N. Franklin Street, Wilmington, DE. Auditions for dancers will be held on April 10 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Those interested in auditioning can schedule an appointment at this kick-off meeting. Auditions for college students who are not available in April will be held on Tuesday, May 25 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Rehearsals for principals in GUYS AND DOLLS will begin on May 18 at
Aldersgate United Methodist Church. The chorus will begin rehearsals on May 25.

Performance dates for GUYS AND DOLLS are July 29, 30, 31 and August 5, 6, and 7 2010. All performances are held at Longwood Gardens Open Air Theatre, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. The Brandywiners, Ltd. is comprised of more than 350 active members involvedin presenting high quality musicals every summer at Longwood Gardens.
