Possum Point Players have scheduled a commemorative presentation to honor fallen heroes and to benefit local ones. Saturday, Sept. 10, 7 p.m., a special performance of "The Guys" will be presented in observance of the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Proceeds will be shared with the Chad Spicer Memorial Fund and the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department. Tickets are $40 and include the performance and a following reception. The special performance of the Anne Nelson drama features well-known area performers Anne Colwell and James Keegan, who appears courtesy of the Actors' Equity Association.

Based on a true happening after Sept. 11, 2001, "The Guys" is the story of a first responder struggling with creating eulogies for fallen comrades and a journalist he seeks to help him find the right words. First performed in December, 2001, the play has been described as "The kind of quiet hybrid that the situation and the times...seemed to demand. A small jewel of a play."

Tickets may be purchased at www.possumpointplayers.org, or by calling 302-856-4560. Performance and reception are at Possum Hall, 441 Old Laurel Road, Georgetown.

"The Guys" is being produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
