Delaware Theatre Company will host Jim Dale for a one night only presentation of his New York bound new production: JUST JIM DALE tonight, April 8th, 2014 at 7:30pm. His first solo show ever, JUST JIM DALE is a blend of showbiz anecdotes, stories and song, all of which present a very intimate and personal side of one of the greatest stage entertainers of our age.

Directed by Tony Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr. (Ain't Misbehavin', Fosse, and Miss Saigon), the evening of song and story will be a treat for patrons who will be able to experience it. Jim Dale was born in England in 1935 and debuted as a stage comedian in 1951, aged just 17. In his lifetime, Dale has received countless awards and nominations, including a Tony Award, two Grammy Awards and two Academy Award nominations.

In JUST JIM DALE, Jim recounts an unequaled lifetime in the theatre and myriad irresistible showbiz tales - from a childhood performing on the British Music Hall stage, through his many Broadway triumphs in Scapino, Barnum and Me and My Girl, to his uproarious experiences narrating all seven "Harry Potter" audio books. Candid and intimate, JUST JIM DALE is an unforgettable collection of stories from Jim's breadth of theatrical work and beloved songs," including "The Colors of My Life," "The Lambeth Walk" and "Georgy Girl."
