Bootless Stageworks will present the first officially licensed production of Terminator, The Second, a staged adaption of the hit Hollywood blockbuster Terminator 2: Judgment Day. What makes Terminator, The Second such a unique theater production is that it is completed entirely in Shakespearean language. Every line and phrase is taken from the original folios of William Shakespeare, with changes only to proper nouns, pronouns, and verb-tenses that serve to create a hilarious parody about a boy and his cyborg protector with the utmost accuracy.

While the production's creators at Husky Jackal Theatre (Nashville, TN) had originally devised this show with the intention of performing it "one-night-only" with funds raised via Kickstarter, the project eventually caught the attention of numerous websites and publications including the SyFy channel, Mental Floss magazine and Gawker science blog i09. The project also received international support which enabled Husky Jackal Theatre to increase the scope of its creation. In October of 2011, with the approval of the international theater scene and the audacity of geek-culture hype, Terminator, The Second premiered on the Main Stage of Nashville School of the Arts.

Terminator, The Second kicks-off Bootless' 10th anniversary season. As part of the festivities, many Bootless artists from its early days return to the stage throughout the season. Joining the Terminator, The Second casts are Melissa Kearny as Sarah Connor and Greg Faber as T-1000. Ms. Kearny appeared with Bootless as Theresa in Boy Gets Girl (2007) and several one act plays, including the DTAFest award-winning Oprah Made Me Do It (2008). Mr. Faber was a member of Bootless' youth division, having performed in Wanted: One Groom (2007) and May I Have Your Attention (2008). Both artists recently performed in a local production of Shakespeare's Richard II with Ms. Kearny as Queen and Mr. Faber in the title role of King Richard.

Terminator, The Second runs today, September 26 to October 5, 2014 at Bootless' new home located in the hall annex of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 1301 N. Broom St, Wilmington, DE. The venue offers free parking, full ADA access, and is within walking distance to several Trolley Square restaurants and pubs for pre-show dining and after-show drinks.
