Victoria Theatre Association presents Tony Award-winning VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE, a delightfully funny and deeply human play. Award-winning playwright Christopher Durang 's VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE has created a witty and incisive new farce for our modern hyper connected world. Directed by Margarett Perry ,the play takes place in bucolic Bucks County, PA where Vanya (Matthew Boston) and Sonia (Sherman Fracher) have frittered their lives away in their family's farmhouse full of regret, angst and the alarmingly ambiguous prophecies of their addled housecleaner Cassandra (Torie Wiggins). Enter their sister, self-absorbed movie star Masha (Jennifer Johansen), with her prized 20-something boy toy Spike (Ben Palacios), and the stage is set for an absurd weekend of general hilarity and global warming. A Broadway sensation, VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE delights audiences with its abundant comic twists. Adult content and language.

Perry is not new to Dayton theater audiences or to The Human Race Theatre Company, and has directed critically acclaimed productions of Other Desert Cities, Under A Red Moon and God of Carnage. The rest of the cast and crew involved in the show are: Alex Sunderhaus (Nina); Kay Carver (production stage manager); David A. Centers (set designer); Janet G. Powell (costume design); John Rensel (lighting design); Brian Retterer (sound design); Scott Kimmins (technical director); and, Tara Lail (executive producer).
