The Dallas Opera is pleased to announce a brand-new initiative for the opera curious during the 2017-2018 "Motives Unmasked!" Season: Young Professionals Performance Nights.

Patrons between the ages of 21 and 35 may purchase Best Available Seats (a maximum of two per person) to any of the Wednesday evening performances of The Dallas Opera's mainstage season-for a guaranteed price of just $50! Unlike Student Rush, these tickets may be purchased in advance ("First Come, First Served"); however, sales are limited to 50 tickets per applicable performance:

· October 25, 2017 (Samson & Dalila)

· November 1, 2017 (La Traviata)

· February 14, 2018 (The Ring of Polykrates)

· March 14, 2018 (Sunken Garden)

· and April 18, 2018 (Don Giovanni)

2017-2018 YP Patrons will also receive exclusive access to The Dallas Opera's relaxed Community Beer Company Lounge at each intermission, where they can mix-and-mingle with like-minded peers while enjoying complementary beer, courtesy of (you guessed it!) Community Beer Company and The Dallas Opera.

Tickets for Young Professionals Performance Nights are extremely limited, so act now! Purchase online at www.dallasopera.org/yp or by calling the friendly service professionals in The Dallas Opera Ticket Office at 214.443.1000.

This exciting outreach initiative rates its own launch party on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dallas Design District when it's "Curtains Up!" on a fun-filled evening of locally produced craft beer, delicious BBQ, and opera!

Presented at Community Beer Company, 1530 Inspiration Drive, Dallas, TX 75207 in partnership with CBC and the Dallas Observer, the event offers food, drink and excellent networking opportunities, along with "Opera Bingo!" for tickets to the spring season, a live performance of the world's greatest beer-drinking songs (sure, you can join in - when we tell you, that is!), and a special surprise give-away.

Attendees must be prepared to show proof of legal drinking age (21 and above) with a valid ID at the door. Tickets to this one-night-only event in the Dallas Design District are just $25 and may be purchased today at www.dallasopera.org/events -- search the October listings.

Founded in 1957, The Dallas Opera is an internationally-recognized innovator dedicated to the overall advancement of the operatic art form and the support of established and emerging artists, as well as the education and development of new opera audiences in North Texas-and beyond. These goals are achieved by commissioning and producing world-class opera; through ground-breaking institutes, national competitions and topical programs; and by presenting opera in both traditional and non-traditional formats and venues in order to attract patrons of every age, background, educational level, and ethnicity-while engaging with more than 87,000 people in our community each year. TDO is equally committed to the task of responsible stewardship and is managed with efficiency and accountability, to the highest possible standards.
