The Shane-Arts Theatrical Ensemble Repertory (SATER) is proud to present one of the great stage love stories, Terrence McNally's rapturously, romantic comedy Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, opening at the Dallas Hub Theater on Fri., Jun. 5 and running through Jun. 13.

Show dates and times are as follows:

  • Thursday, June 4th at 7:30 pm (PRESS PREVIEW NIGHT)
  • Friday, June 5th @ 8:15 pm
  • Saturday, June 6th @ 8:15 pm
  • Thursday, June 11th @ 7:30 pm
  • Friday, June 12th @ 8:15 pm
  • Saturday, June 13th @ 8:15 pm

A smash 1987 Broadway hit, the play is directed by Catherine Hopkins (Lord of the Flies, Lower Ninth) and stars Chris Piper (Topdog/Underdog, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead) and Ashley Wilkerson (Freckle in My Eye).   Written by one of America's most important playwrights (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Full Monty) the story centers on two lost souls -- an aging waitress and a short-order cook--reaching out to one another on a Saturday night in Manhattan.

Through an unusual kinship forged through two lives of hardship, author McNally brings Frankie and Johnny together. Frankie is defensive and done with dreaming, but Johnny has an unshakable belief that fate has dealt them a winning hand. Time will tell whether Frankie and Johnny get their shot at the fairytale.

The show runs under 2 hours with 1 intermission and contains strong language and adult content. Tickets are $10-$25 and are available online at www.dallashubtheater.org, by clicking on this link, or by calling the Smart Tix box office toll-free at 1-877-238-5596. For group rates, contact Dallas Hub Theater directly at 214-749-7010.
