Women in Film. Dallas hosted its 22nd Annual Topaz Gala on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the Dallas Museum of Art.  This special event honored career achievement and longevity of three outstanding Dallas women.  Popular screen and stage actress Morgan Fairchild received the Topaz Spirit Award, Legendary Ada Lynn received the Topaz Legacy Award, and Dallas Talent Agent Linda McAlister received the Topaz Lifetime Achievement Award.  The Dallas Film Commission gave their Advocacy Award to Dr. Elba Garcia.

The awards presentation was hosted by WFAA's Gary Cogill and Amy Vanderoef.  "We are so excited to be honoring such phenomenal women," said Women in Film.Dallas President Cynthia Salzman Mondell, as she paid tribute to the four honorees and Marla Watson-Werst, the 2006 Topaz Chair.
