Performing Arts Fort Worth will welcome the North Texas debut of Austin's heralded live action graphic novel The Intergalactic Nemesis to Bass Performance Hall on Monday, October 24, 2011, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $22 and are on sale now.

The Intergalactic Nemesis began as a radio play performed at a coffeehouse in downtown Austin. Today, it's a larger-than-life, multi-media, audio and visual spectacle. On stage actors provide the dialogue and sound effects, while projections of comic book images flash across a giant screen - a graphic novel brought to life.

The Austin Chronicle has called the show "amazing," and collider.com said, "it's something you must experience if you are a fan of awesome."

The storyline is set in 1933. A Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter, her intrepid assistant and a mysterious librarian discover and face off with the most serious threat Earth has ever known: an impending invasion of sludge monsters from the planet Zygon.

The live production was written and directed by Jason Neulander, based on the radio drama by Neulander, Ray Colgan, Chad Nichols, Jessica Reisman, Julia Edwards and Lisa D'Amour. The show features the acting talents of Austin-based performers David Higgins, Chris Gibson and Danu Uribe.
Sound effects are by Buzz Moran and performed by Moran and Cami Alys. The live score is by Graham Reynolds.
