Casa Mañana Theatre continues their 2015-2016 Season with RENT February 27-March 6. Tickets are on sale now.

Set in the East Village of New York City, RENT tells the unforgettable story of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling and learning to survive, fall in love, find their voices and live for today. This rock opera, penned by Jonathan Larsen, quickly became one of the most beloved and longest running Broadway musicals of all time, winning multiple Tony® Awards and a Pulitzer Prize.

RENT features a cast of Broadway stars, including John Arthur Greene as "Roger Davis", Mackenzie Bell as "Maureen Johnson", Tyler Hardwick as "Angel Shunard", Phyre Hawkins as "Joanne Jefferson" and Casa Mañana's Director of Education, Noah Putterman as "Mark Cohen". Mr. Greene and Mr. Putterman grew up performing together at North Carolina Theater. They have not performed together in nearly a decade and are reuniting for RENT. Other cast members include: Maurice Johnson as "Tom Collins", Calvin Scott Roberts as "Benjamin Coffin III", Kalyn West as "Mimi Marquez", Winston Daniels, Craig Glen Foster, Kyle Igneczi, Katelyn Helene Johnson, Sophie Menas, Stefanie Tovar and Keith J. Warren.

RENT is directed and choreographed by Tim Bennett. Bennett most recently directed Casa Mañana's critically-acclaimed production of Les Miserables in June of 2015. Prior to Les Miserables, Bennett was last represented on the Casa stage by the critically-acclaimed productions of Miss Saigon (2013), 42nd Street (2012) and RENT (2012). Bennett is currently the entertainment director for Carnival Cruise Line and was the resident director of the Las Vegas production of Disney's The Lion King. He has directed and choreographed productions of High School Musical, Macbeth, Urinetown, Moon Over Buffalo, Lend Me A Tenor and Vegas Vaudeville all over the country, as well has concerts with the Boston Pops.

Additional creative team members include James Cunningham as music director, Samuel Rushen as lighting and scenic designer, Kyle McCord as sound designer, Tammy Spencer as costume designer and Catherine Petty-Rogers as wig, hair and makeup designer.
