Good Morning, Baltimore! It's 1962, the '50s are out and change is in the air. Tracy Turnblad, a girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, has only one passion - to dance. After winning a spot on a local TV dance program she is transformed from outcast to teen celebrity. But can she vanquish the program's reigning princess, win the love of heartthrob Link Larkin, and integrate a television show without denting her 'do? Only in Hairspray!

Casa Mañana's production of Hairspray stars Jennifer Foster as "Tracy Turnblad," David Coffee as "Edna Turnblad," and John Arthur Greene as "Link Larkin." Foster, who is making her Casa Mañana debut, is reprising the role she most recently played in North Carolina Theatre's production of Hairspray. Coffee has performed at Casa Mañana Theatre several times and his most recent Casa Mañana credits include The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Driving Miss Daisy and The Fantastics. Greene's credits include the revival of West Side Story on Broadway, the Off-Broadway productions of The Johnny and The Mim, and the recent workshop of the much anticipated musicAl White Noise.

Casa Mañana's production of Hairspray is directed by Casey Hushion and choreographed by Josh Rhodes. Hushion was the Associate Director on the Broadway productions of Elf the Musical, To Be Or Not To Be and the Tony Award winning musicals In the Heights and The Drowsy Chaperone. Rhodes was the Assistant Choreographer for the original Broadway production of The Drowsy Chaperone. Rhodes most recently choreographed Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY with the New York Philharmonic starring Neil Patrick Harris, Patti LuPone, Jon Cryer and Stephen Colbert.

Additional cast members include Doug LoPachin as "Wilbur Turnblad," Laura Wetsel as "Penny Pingleton," Donell Foreman as "Seaweed J. Stubbs," Sainty Reid as "Amber Von Tussle," Cara Serber as "Velma Von Tussle," Sheran Keyton as "Motormouth Maybelle," Sydney Porter as "Little Inez," Christopher J. Deaton as "H. Spitzer," Jarret Mallon as "Corny Collins," and Sarah Gay as "Prudy Pingleton."

Ensemble cast members include Aubrey Adams, Ashley Arnold, Jo-Rhea Dalcour, Alyssa Gardner, Adrianna Hicks, Tesia Kwarteng, Hannah Miller, Olivia Sharber, Eean Cochran, Desmond Dansby, Jeremy Dumont, Tanner Hanley, Drew Kelly, Dustin Norris, Darius-Anthony Robinson, and Michael Sylvester.

Casa Mañana's production of Hairspray is presented for a limited engagement at Casa Mañana Theatre in Fort Worth. Performance dates are Saturday, August 13 at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, August 16 at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, August 17 at 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, August 18 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, August 19 at 8:00 p.m.; Saturday, August 20 at 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m.

Friday, August 12 at 7:00 p.m. is a student preview night with cast talkback following the show; open for students, faculty and staff with valid school ID for $10. This show is suitable for most audiences, parental discretion is advised.

Tickets for Hairspray are on sale now and can be purchased by calling the Casa Mañana Theatre box office at 817.332.2272. You can also visit the box office at 3101 West Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth. Ticket prices are $40 to $65, depending upon seating location. A $20 student rush ticket will be offered one hour prior to every performance with valid school ID.
