BWW Previews: Richland High School To Stage GODSPELL This January.

From January 21st through January 23rd, the students of Richland High School's Fine Arts Department will present the musical GODSPELL by Stephen Schwartz (WICKED, PIPPIN). Based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, GODSPELL is the musical tale of a group of people who work with Jesus to build a strong community. Through storytelling, games and comedic vignettes, the playful story and eclectic score demonstrates key moments of Jesus' life, leading the audience to find hope past the Crucifixion. Featuring the international hit, "Day by Day," GODSPELL features a series of well-known songs, including "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord," "Learn Your Lessons Well," "All for the Best," "All Good Gifts," "Turn Back, O Man" and "By My Side."

GODSPELL stars CJ Sutton, Hayden Lopez, and Levi Richey as Jesus, Judas, and John The Baptist, respectively. Rounding out the ensemble are students Ajmal Mohmand, Brad Symank, Braden Kelley, Brittney Valles, Brooke Christoffersen, Bryce Beeson, Caleb Pitts, Carlie Hagar, Cosy Ortiz, Emily Patrick, Gabby Jefferson, Haley Hanson, Hondo Garcia, Inga Bostelmann, Kayla Jefferies, Maysen Garner, Morgan Garner, Moriah Khalil, Phoebe Voss, Rachel Kelly, Rachel Schelen, Rachel Waddell, Sadie Wilson, Sarah Flores, Jarod Miller, Alexis Martinez, Jillian Oujesky, Katherine Durham, Madison Wofford, Sarah Auge.

Camielle Haley directs the production, with musical direction by Andrew Steffan, and choreography by Michael Anthony Sylvester. Show times are Saturday, Jan. 21st at 7 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 22nd at 2 p.m.; and Monday, Jan. 23rd at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students. Children four and under are free.
