“Let Me Entertain You” was the appeal Laura Benanti made to audiences each night in her Tony Award®-winning turn opposite Patti LuPone in Gypsy,and they are words she delivers on with every one of her performances. This magical singing actress is known not only for her award-winning performances on Broadway but also for her numerous television appearances. Her two worlds combined recently when she performed as Elsa Schraeder in NBC’s live production of The Sound of Music, a musical Benanti knows well, having starred as Maria in her Broadway debut opposite Richard Chamberlain.
