Segerstrom Center Presents Live Knockout Conversation with Sylvester Stallone on 8/7

No other film saga is as inspiring and treasured by multiple generations as Rocky which, 40 years later, remains the indisputable champ in the hearts of millions. Now, fans have the opportunity to share a LIVE evening with Sylvester Stallone himself, the creator and star of it all on Sunday, August 7 at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the original Rocky film, Sly himself will take to the stage in this exciting live show to share stories you've never heard before, giving an inside glimpse behind the classic scenes, from the most heartbreaking to the most triumphant.

A limited number of VIP meet 'and' greet tickets will be available. Tickets start at $59 and go on sale Sunday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. and will be available online at SCFTA.org, by calling (714) 556-2787 and at the Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa.

Hear humorous and touching stories about all your favorite characters from Adrian and Apollo Creed, to classic nemeses from Ivan Drago to Clubber Lang, and of course, beloved coach Mickey. You never know what topic will come up with Sly in this incredible night and you'll also have a chance to ask Sly your question during the audience Q&A.

Before the "Italian Stallion" hits the stage, the audience will get to enjoy a showing of the original Rocky on the big screen, the film that began it all.

Don't miss this power-packed live evening with Sylvester Stallone, an event that will have you "flying high now" just like the first time you saw Rocky Balboa climb the steps of the Philadelphia museum.

Sylvester Stallone has established worldwide recognition as an actor, writer and director since he played the title role in his own screenplay of Rocky, which won the Academy Award® in 1976 for Best Picture.

Since that seminal motion picture, Rocky grew to a franchise of five sequels and in 2006 Stallone concluded the series with Rocky Balboa, a critical and audience success which resolutely confirmed both Stallone and Rocky as iconic cultural symbols. In addition, to commemorate a character which has become as real as any living person to film-going audiences around the world, a statue of Rocky Balboa was placed at the foot of the now-famous steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum at a dedication ceremony presided over by the Mayor.

In 2015, 40 years after the original film, Stallone returned to the role of Rocky in Creed for director Ryan Coogler co-starring Michael B. Jordan. His critically-acclaimed performance earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, the Golden Globe Award, National Board of Review and Critic's Choice Awards as well as countless Awards and nominations from National Critic Associations. The role enthralled audiences and solidified Stallone as one of the most enduring and endearing actors of his generation.
