Ina Garten, the Emmy Award-winning host of the Barefoot Contessa television show on Food Network and The New York Times best-selling author, comes to Segerstrom Center for the Arts tonight, November 5, 2015 in Segerstrom Hall.

Garten will bring her natural approach to food; entertaining tips, stories and maybe even some recipes. She will be joined on stage by moderator Tori Ritchie. Garten will deliver a charming insider's view of the hit TV show, now in its 11th season, and the pleasures of good food, cooked with love and passion, engaging the audience with an interactive Q&A.

Garten opened a modest store in the Hamptons called Barefoot Contessa, in 1978. Eighteen years later, the store had grown to 3,000 sq. ft., which she sold to start working on her cookbooks. In 2002, Food Network approached Garten to do a cooking show based on her cookbooks and love of entertaining. Garten's new line of prepared frozen meals, Saute? Dinners for Two, launched in spring of 2013 and is available in 40 national supermarket chains. In addition, Garten has contributed to House Beautiful, Martha Stewart Living and O, Oprah's magazine.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is unique as both an acclaimed arts institution and as a multi- disciplinary cultural campus. It is committed to supporting artistic excellence on all of its stages, offering unsurpassed experiences, and engaging the entire community in new and exciting ways through the unique power of live performance and a diverse array of inspiring programs.

Previously called the Orange County Performing Arts Center, Segerstrom Center is Orange County's largest non-profit arts organization and owns and operates the 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall and intimate 250-seat Judy Morr Theater, which opened in 1986, and the 2,000-seat Rene?e and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, which opened in 2006 and also houses the 500-seat Samueli Theater, the studio performance space and Boeing Education Lab. A spacious arts plaza anchors Segerstrom Center for the Arts and is home to numerous free performances throughout the year as part of Segerstrom Center for the Arts' ongoing Free for All series.
