The Maverick Theater in Downtown Fullerton announces its production of CYRANO DE BERGERAC. One of 19th-century theatre's most heartbreakingly romantic tales, CYRANO DE BERGERAC is packed with exhilarating swordplay, grand passion and dazzling repartee. It is an epic tale of staggering love, sacrifice, and self-discovery, translated by Ranjit Bolt into sharp modern verse from the original French work by Edmond Rostand.

Despite his swashbuckling heroism and rapier wit, Cyrano thinks himself unworthy - because of his enormous nose - to be loved by the beauteous Roxane. Instead, he uses his gift for language to woo her for his comrade-in-arms, Christian. The role of Cyrano alternates between two perennial Maverick performers - Nathan Makaryk and Enrique Munoz, who each bring their own perspective to the famous character.
