ALWAYS...PATSY CLINE Back by Popular Demand at The Gem Theatre

Back by Popular Demand! For a limited engagement! Always...Patsy Cline, opens on March 2 at Garden Grove's historic GEM THEATRE presented by the award-winning One More Productions - one of Southern California's leading musical theater companies.

Dee Shandera returns to the stage as Louise Seger and Nicole Cassesso is back as the incomparable Patsy Cline!

Always...Patsy Cline is based on the true story of Patsy Cline's friendship with a wisecracking Houston housewife, Louise Seger. Seger becomes an immediate and avid fan of Patsy Cline after hearing Cline on the "Arthur Godfrey Show" in 1957. By chance, they meet at Patsy's concert which starts a friendship that lasts until Cline's untimely death in a plane crash in 1963.

Over a pot of strong coffee, the two women spend the night chatting about their common concerns about life and family. Their relationship continues through letters and phone calls from Cline.

Always...Patsy Cline is directed by Damien Lorton and written by Ted Swindley. The music of Patsy Cline weaves through a narration of her life and the entire performance is backed by a live 6-piece country band.

The show combines humor, sadness and reality. It offers fans who remember Cline a chance to look back, while giving new fans an idea of what seeing her was like and what she meant to her original fans.

Performances: March 2 thru March 19 at The Gem Theatre. Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm. Opening Night Gala is March 4. There is an additional show at 2 pm on Saturday, March 18. Twenty minutes before each show, there will be a pre-show concert by The Bodacious Bobcats Band. A special Talk Back (Question and Session) will follow immediately after the show on Sunday, March 12.

General admission tickets are $30 each, $26 for seniors (60 and over), and $26 for Children (12 years old and under). In addition, $20 Student Rush Tickets are available for Thursday and Friday performances only with a valid student ID at the box office window prior to the performance. Opening Gala Night Event Tickets, for Saturday, March 4, are $40 each and ticket holders receive an exclusive invitation to attend the post-show catered champagne Gala with the cast.
