Sabrina Fair opens Friday, June 3. You're invited back to the 1950s... courtesy of one of Broadway's most beloved romantic comedies, "Sabrina Fair"; Samuel A. Taylor's engaging and charming play, directed by Tom Rushen, is a Cinderella-like tale set in the 1950s - with a social conscious, witty dialogue, and a "twist." Opening Friday, June 3 at 8:00 PM, Sabrina Fair runs Fridays and Saturdays June 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 at 8:00 pm, Sundays June 5, 12, and 19 at 2:00 pm, and Thursday, June 9 at 8:00 pm.

Sabrina Fair is the daughter of a long-time chauffeur to the wealthy Larrabee family, who live in an estate on the North Shore of Long Island. Returning from a stay in Paris after working as the private secretary to the "Assistant Economic Commissioner Office of Special Representative for Europe Economic Cooperation Administration," Sabrina has come back a beautiful, sophisticated young woman, with a charm and a zest for life that belies her upbringing as the oft-ignored daughter of the "hired help."

She proclaims her desire "to do everything and see everything, sense everything; to know that life is an enormous experience and must be used. To be in the world, and of the world, and never stand aside and watch." Her energy is infectious - and although she once had a crush on the dashing David Larrabee, she now finds herself strangely to his worldly, though terribly dry and unsentimental, older brother Linus. As in all fairy tales, thus begins "once upon a time"... and a clever social comedy ensues, filled with twists and turns that are filled with surprise, a little thought-provoking, and highly entertaining.

The extremely talented cast includes Michelle Blau, Jessica Denes, Andrea Garmun, Debra Hanusick, Terry LaPolice, Manny Lieberman, Andrew Morris, Sue O'Hara, Jeff Pliskin, Brendan Quinn, Tara Reuter, Catherine Samose, Nik Shpilberg and Fred Tisch. Produced by Joan Barere, the set is designed by Alexander Kulcsar, lighting is designed by Jeff Klein, and costumes design is by Mary Kulcsar. "Sabrina Fair" runs June 3 - 19 at Westport Community Theatre at Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Avenue, Westport.
