The Warner Stage Company will present Songs for a New World, June 14-22, in the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre.

Composer Jason Robert Brown says, "it's about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back." These are the stories and characters of today, the Songs for a New World.

Brown transports his audience from the deck of a 1492 Spanish sailing ship to a ledge 57 stories above Fifth Avenue to meet a startling array of characters ranging from a young man who has determined that basketball is his ticket out of the ghetto to a woman whose dream of marrying rich nabs her the man of her dreams and a soulless marriage.

The Warner Stage Company production of Songs for a New World is directed and choreographed by Katherine Ray with Music Director Dan Koch. Cast includes Matt Martin, Mensah Robinson, Caitlin Mandracchia and Holly Martin. Performances are Saturday, June 14 & 21 at 8 pm, Sunday June 15 & 22 at 2 pm and Friday, June 20 at 8 pm. Tickets are $26 and can be purchased by calling the Warner Box Office at 860-489-7180 or online at www.warnertheatre.org.
