Take a little bit of Footloose, Bye Bye Birdie, Mamma Mia!, Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and a whole lot of "The King" and you've got All Shook Up, the Windham Theatre Guild's hot, high energy summer musical comedy that kicks off the 2010-2011 season! All Shook Up was inspired by and features the songs of Elvis Presley and is wrapped up tight in a book written by Broadway's famous Joe DiPietro.

All Shook Up mixes a little bit of Shakespeare and a whole lot of The King and guarantees that your entire family will be jumpin' out of their blue suede shoes! Set in 1955 in a small mid-western town, this jukebox musical features a riveting tale of mismatched lovers, where one girl's dream and a surprise visit from a mysterious leather-jacketed-guitar playing stranger, help a dreary little town discover the magic of romance and the power of rock n' roll. This show is a tribute to the legend of Elvis and his music and uses the songs he made famous to provide insight into the madness of falling in love. Featured are 24 classic Presley hits including "Heartbreak Hotel", "Burning Love", "Jailhouse Rock", "Don't Be Cruel", "It's Now or Never", "Hound Dog" and "Can't Help Fallin' In Love". Chock full of laughs and toe-tapping tunes, All Shook Up is a hunk, a hunk of burnin' nostalgia!

Director Victor Funderburk works his magic once again pulling together another unforgettable summer musical for the Guild. Helping to create the magic is Musical Director Ken Clark and Choreographer Michelle Swanson and costume designer Debbie Warren.

All Shook Up opens July 16th and runs through July 31st evenings at 8:00pm, with two matinee performances at 2:00pm on Sunday July 18th and 25th at the Burton Leavitt Theatre, 779 Main Street, Willimantic.
