The Opera House Players, located in the Broad Brook section of East Windsor, CT announce auditions for the musical thriller SWEENEY TODD. The show will be directed by Anna Giza, with musical direction by Tony Romeo; performances are three weekends in November.

Auditions will be held at the Broad Brook Opera House, 107 Main Street, Broad Brook, CT on Sunday, June 27 at 2 pm and Monday June 28 at 7 pm. Everyone auditioning should be prepared to sing a song. If not singing a selection from the show, please bring sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. A strong ensemble cast is required, including one young girl, teens and adults. Three principal roles are available for women, and six major roles are available for men.

Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's SWEENEY TODD tells the tale of the unjustly exiled barber who returns to London seeking revenge against the judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. His thirst for blood soon expands to his unfortunate customers, and the resourceful owner of the pie shop downstairs soon has people lining up in droves with her mysterious new meat pie recipe.
