Rob Burnett, Gordon Edelstein, Neil Barclay & Rosemary Martin Hayduk Set for This Week's STATE OF THE ARTS on WPKN-FM

Film producer ROB BURNETT, Artistic Director GORDON EDELSTEIN, actor NEIL BARCLAY and chorister ROSEMARY MARTIN HAYDUK are scheduled for this week's (Friday, June 10) State of the ARTS on WPKN which airs LIVE every Friday from 12noon to 1pm on WPKN-FM (89.5) in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Co-hosts of the weekly arts & entertainment program are Richard Pheneger and Peggy Nelson.

Emmy-winning producer Rob Burnett's film "The Fundamentals of Caregiving" will be featured in the 2016 Greenwich International Film Festival running this weekend with screenings at the Greenwich High School Performing Arts Center on Saturday, June 11 at 5:30pm followed by a Q&A with Burnett and actor Craig Roberts, moderated by Tom Cavanagh. A second screening is scheduled on Sunday, June 12 at 8pm at the Bow Tie Cinema in Greenwich.

Gordon Edelstein, Artistic Director of the Long Wharf Theatre, will talk about his upcoming productions in the 2016-2017 season, following the highly successful current season which just ended with My Paris. Under his leadership Long Wharf has received numerous Connecticut Critics Circle Awards as well as the Tom Killen Award for his indelible impact on the Connecticut theatrical landscape.

Actor Neil Barclay, a member of the Shaw Festival repertory company plays the title role in Uncle Vanya as well as the French Mouse/ensemble in the world premiere of Alice in Wonderland, two of the ten productions playing now through mid-October at its home-base of Niagara on-the-Lake, Ontario.

Rosemary Martin Hayduk, producer of Stratford, Connecticut's Sister Cities Chorus, has just returned from England where the group performed at the Reunion of the Stratfords of the World (6 of them) in Stratford-upon-Avon, in addition to performing in Holy Trinity Church, the burial site of William Shakespeare. The Stratford Sister Cities Chorus will present its annual concert, Seasons of Love on Sunday, June 12, at 4pm at Flood Middle School located at 490 Chapel Street in Stratford, Connecticut
