The Bijou Theatre presents the first show in their main stage season, the Connecticut premiere of the Off-Broadway hit "Murder Ballad," for three performances only on Friday, September 26th, and Saturday, September 27th at 8:00pm and Sunday, September 28th at 7:00pm. Tickets are $18 for student theatre seating, $23 general theatre seating, and $28 for table/high top seating.

Murder Ballad is the critically acclaimed, Off-Broadway hit by Jonathan Larson Award winner and two-time Susan Smith Blackburn Prize finalist Julia Jordan with book and lyrics by Jordan and music and lyrics by indie rock singer/songwriter Juliana Nash. This rockin' musical follows the dramatic story of a love triangle gone wrong. It all centers on Sara, an uptown girl who seems to have it all, but whose downtown past lingers enticingly and dangerously in front of her. This musical explores the complications of love, the compromises we make, and the betrayals that can ultimately undo us. The New York Times called it "a love triangle with a razor's edges" with "plenty of sensual heat."

Heating up the Bijou stage is Maggie Pangrazio as the Narrator, Christian Cardozo as Tom, Arielle Boutin as Sara, and Everton Ricketts as Michael. New Yorker and AEA member, director Phillip Bettencourt, will also lead the band featuring Christopher Cavaliere and Marcelo Calderon on guitar, Aaron Diamond on bass, and Zach Simao on drums.
