Music Theatre of Connecticut School of Performing Arts presents "Annie." The popular comic strip heroine takes center stage in one of the world's best-loved musicals. The production will play Westport Playhouse on Saturday, January 12 at 3pm and Sunday, January 13 at 3pm.

Music Theatre of Connecticut was founded in 1987 by Directors Kevin Connors and Jim Schilling. MTC's professional mainstage company has presented 25 seasons of critically-acclaimed productions, including new works and buried treasures of the American musical theatre. MTC is recipient of the Connecticut Critics' Circle's highest honor, the Tom Killen Memorial Award for Outstanding Contribution to Connecticut Professional Theatre and was presented with a Connecticut State Legislative Citation to commemorate this award. Productions presented at MTC have been nominated for Best Musical of the Connecticut theatre season and several others have gone on to have successful productions in New York and at other regional houses. MTC is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization.

Music Theatre of Connecticut School of Performing Arts is Fairfield County's most complete resource for the musical theatre, providing conservatory-style educational programming and professional musical theatre. The only organization of its kind in Connecticut, MTC was founded in 1987 by Directors Kevin Connors and Jim Schilling. Governed by an elected Board of Directors, MTC is a Certified Member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts - the first theatre school to be accepted for membership in this esteemed organization. MTC trains over 500 students per season and more than 4,000 audience members attend the seven full-scale productions each year.
