MTC MainStage to Present SHORT AND SWEET: THE PLAYS OF JIM GORDON

Music Theatre of Connecticut MainStage, Fairfield County's award-winning professional theatre company, presents "Short and Sweet: The Plays of Jim Gordon." Two performances only: Saturday, January 23at 8pm and Sunday, January 24 at 2pm, at MTC MainStage, 509 Westport Avenue (behind Nine West Outlet) in Norwalk, CT. "Short and Sweet: The Plays of Jim Gordon" are eight slices of contemporary life where things aren't always what they seem. Written and directed by award-winning playwright Jim Gordon, whose plays have been produced throughout the US and Europe. A third collection of Jim's short plays will be published this year. Among his many awards, Jim received the Alan Minieri Award for Playwriting Excellence from "The American Globe Theatre" in New York City. His university credits include a BS in Theatre Arts from The State University of New York and an MA from Fairfield University. Jim is a member of the Theatre Artists Workshop in Norwalk, CT, and the Dramatists Guild.

The cast of professional actors includes John Flaherty, Molly Garbe, Larry Greeley, Cynthia Hannah, Marca Leigh, Kimberley Lowden, Florence Phillips, Frank Piazza, Jim Schilling, Katie Sparer, Kimberly Squires, Nadine Willig and Allan Zeller.

All proceeds from the two performances will benefit Music Theatre of Connecticut and its programming.
