With a recording career that spans almost three decades and 23 albums, Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G has skillfully blended elements of R&B, pop, and Latin to a jazz foundation solidifying his reputation as the premiere artist in contemporary jazz. Since the early '80s, his combination of unparalleled instrumental chops and indelible melodies has resulted in sales of more than 75 million records worldwide (45 million in the U.S. alone) and more than a dozen climbs to the top of Billboard's contemporary jazz chart. The Ridgefield Playhouse and 109 Cheese & Wine Evening of Art, Wine and Jazz Series invite you to take a festive ride through the smooth sounds of the holidays with Kenny G on Tuesday, December 8, at 8 p.m. as he performs an intimate evening of many of his career hits and as well as songs of the holiday season. This festive evening includes a complimentary wine tasting courtesy of 109 Cheese and Wine and an art exhibit by artists Gayle Gleckler and Tony Woolner in the lobby at 7:15pm. Gold circle tickets include a pre-show holiday party from 6:30 - 7:15pm. Make it a festive night of dinner and a show - visit Gallo Ristorante (5 Grove Street, Ridgefield) for dinner before the show and enjoy a complimentary glass of house wine or beer with dinner tickets are presented. Kenny G's Christmas disc, Miracles: The Holiday Album, ranks as one of the most successful yuletide albums ever with more than 8 million units sold. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the business including Michael Bolton, Weezer, Whitney Houston and, most recently, with pop superstar Katy Perry on her single "Last Friday Night."
